We know being fit means much more than simply working out. At The Lakes, you are not only supported by our experienced staff, you are part of a welcoming community that helps you reach your personal goals. Our new Lifestyle & Wellness Center features the latest in strength and cardiovascular equipment, spacious group exercise studios, a dedicated spin studio, a dedicated Pilates studio, and a full schedule of classes and activities.

A Key FOB is required to enter during certain times. Please visit the Administration Office if you need a Key Fob.

Proper gym attire & shoes are required. Clothing manufactured for fitness is required for men, women & children. Bermuda shorts & cut-offs are not permitted. Running shoes or any other type of training shoes must be worn. Please advise your guests of our dress policy.
Medical alert necklaces are available when upon checking into the Center. In case of an emergency, pushing the button for 3 seconds will notify Security & set off the Center alarm. Security will then call 911 for paramedic response, if required.

With experience across a variety of fitness environments, our trainers integrate techniques such as Functional Fitness, TRX Suspension Training, Power Plate Vibration Training, Rehab Fitness, and more. They also provide wellness coaching to ensure a holistic approach to your health and fitness journey. In addition we count with virtual nutrition services delivered by registered dietitians who will work with your goals and needs; Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, our fitness professionals work with individuals of all ages and fitness levels to help you achieve lasting results.

Class Descriptions

Aqua

This high energy aqua workout is designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, range of motion, strength, and muscle tone while using water’s resistance to challenge all levels and to cushion the feet, knees, and back; Exercises are performed to lively, motivating music, are effective and easy to follow.

Balance & Strength

This class format is designed to increase strength, flexibility, sensory awareness, reflexes, and concentration by working through a series of progressive challenges that improves imbalances and prevents falls. This class will utilize a chair, small ball, discs, and light dumbbells.

Chair Yoga

A gentle yoga practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. This practice increases flexibility, strength, body awareness, and balance. It also includes pranayama breathing techniques and meditation to promote focus, mental clarity, and relaxation.

Guided Meditation

This mindful practice will consist of breathing exercises techniques, sound waves, chanting, and visualization; let your creativity and imagination assist in conquering the lightness of being.

Line Dance

A form of dance in which memory and execution come together. Dancers will learn basic steps, rhythms, and routines choreographed to music thereby improving memory and balance.

Pilates Reformer

Private, Duet, and Semi-Private sessions are offered  with a Certified Pilates Professional. An intro to reformer lesson is recommended before attending a group class.

Spin

Spin is a fun way to build cardiovascular strength and endurance; Spin offers a challenging 50-minute ride with energizing music suitable for all ages and fitness levels. This class is the perfect combination of heart-pumping and calorie blaster!

Stretch / Training Combo

This service is a complete body lengthening, stretch, and realignment utilizing trigger point therapy, and neuromuscular stretching techniques combined with functional strength.

Cardio & Sculpt

A total body workout that combines heart-pumping cardiovascular exercises and muscle-sculpting exercises using free weights and bands that guarantees to burn tons of calories!

Tai-Chi

Tai Chi often described as “meditation in motion” is a gentle form of exercise that assists in maintaining strength, flexibility, and balance. In this low-impact, slow motion, you breathe deeply and naturally, focusing your attention on your bodily sensations. Tai Chi is for everyone, from the fittest to people confined to wheelchairs or recovering from surgery.

TPI Golf Fitness

Improve your power production, accuracy, balance, mobility, and flexibility by utilizing the Titleist Performance Institute's evidence-based principles that study how the body functions with the golf swing. This class will cover the concept of “Body-Swing Connection” and apply it to practice drills that can be done on and off the golf course.

TPI Golf Fitness screening, assessment, and private lessons with Titleist Performance Institute. A TPI Golf Fitness Expert will conduct the two-part assessment, which includes a customized home workout.

TRX

Featuring bodyweight suspension training alongside weighted elements like medicine balls, kettlebells, battle ropes, and free weights. These block formation classes include reps and sets that are timed to maximize cardiovascular conditioning, functionality, mobility, strength, balance, and agility.

Weight Training

Weight training is a common type of strength training for developing the strength and size of skeletal muscles.  It uses the force of gravity from barbells and dumbbells to create a powerful invigorating effect not only on your muscles, but your entire wellbeing; bring your fitness level to new heights.

Zumba

Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training alternating fast and slow rhythms to help improve cardiovascular fitness.
